The method focuses on 5 practical considerations that inform treatment planning. They are:

Purpose — what are the treatment goals?
Product — selecting a suitable product for each treatment area.
Placement — where the product may be placed based on anatomy and treatment plan.
Practitioner — the clinician responsible for assessment, planning, and treatment.
During each consultation, patients are guided through these 5 Ps by their practitioner to support treatment decisions based on their goals, anatomy, and clinical needs. This framework is designed to align expectations between patient and practitioner and to support careful, evidence-informed treatment planning with attention to safety, suitability, and technique.
