Post‑surgical scars and depressed scars

  Selective use of HA filler can help to support and lift depressed areas in suitable patients. The goal is to blend the scar into the surrounding contour as naturally as possible. The effect is not permanent and may require maintenance.

• Collagen‑stimulating injectables (e.g. Sculptra)
  For some tethered or atrophic scars, a collagen stimulator can be considered to gradually improve skin quality and volume over time. Treatment is usually staged across several sessions, with a focus on subtle, progressive change.

• Referral for surgical or combined care
  For scars associated with functional symptoms, suspected hernias, or where extensive revision might be beneficial, referral to a surgeon or combined management may be recommended. Your doctor will explain when this is appropriate.
