Wound Management at Alluna

Comprehensive care for acute and chronic wounds

Wound healing is a gradual and highly individualized process that requires appropriate assessment, cleaning, and dressing selection. At Alluna Medical, wound management is provided directly by our medical doctors — a level of clinical attention that ensures careful oversight and continuity of care throughout the healing process.

Our service supports patients with both acute wounds (such as after injuries or surgical procedures) and chronic wounds (including those related to diabetes, venous insufficiency, or prolonged pressure). Each treatment plan is designed according to the wound’s characteristics and the individual’s overall health status, with the goal of promoting an optimal healing environment.

Doctor-led wound care

Effective wound care involves more than applying dressings. It requires understanding wound physiology, preventing infection, and maintaining the best possible healing conditions.

At Alluna Medical:

  • Doctor-conducted wound cleaning and dressing are performed with attention to comfort, hygiene, and safety.

  • Advanced biological dressings such as PRISMA® and Matriderm® may be used when suitable to support tissue repair and healing.

  • Medical follow-up is arranged as needed to monitor progress and make timely adjustments to the treatment plan.

  • Collaborative management is coordinated when wounds are linked with other medical conditions such as diabetes or vascular disease.

Conditions we manage

Our wound management service includes care for:

  • Post-operative or traumatic wounds that are slow to heal

  • Chronic non-healing wounds

  • Diabetic and neuropathic ulcers

  • Venous or arterial ulcers

  • Pressure-related wounds

Our focus is on wound cleaning, dressing, and healing optimization. Skin grafting and surgical reconstruction are not offered at Alluna Medical, but we can provide guidance on referral options if these are needed.

Our approach to wound healing

Each patient begins with a medical evaluation to identify factors influencing wound recovery. The treatment process may include:

  • Careful wound cleansing under aseptic conditions

  • Selection of appropriate dressing type (biological, antimicrobial, or moisture-retentive)

  • Monitoring for infection or delayed healing

  • Advice on general health, nutrition, and local care practices that can support recovery

Follow-up reviews are scheduled to track healing progress, ensuring that treatment remains appropriate at each stage.

Safe, attentive, and thoughtful care

Chronic wounds can significantly affect quality of life, and consistent medical care plays an important role in recovery. At Alluna Medical, wound management is approached with precision, dignity, and ongoing medical supervision in a calm and private environment.
