Alluna Presents Original Protocol at AMWC China 2025

Honoring innovation, original research, and our commitment to advancing Asian skin aesthetics in Hong Kong

Alluna Medical is proud to share that our Founder and Medical Director, Dr Brian, was invited to present our original Light-to-Lift Protocol at AMWC China 2025 - one of the world’s most prestigious aesthetic and anti-aging medical conferences.

Representing our Hong Kong clinic on an international stage, this presentation marks a major milestone for us, highlighting our dedication to evidence-based practiceAsian-focused research, and developing original treatment frameworks that elevate patient outcomes.

A Recognition of Original Research and Leadership

Being selected to speak at AMWC China recognizes clinicians who contribute meaningful, practice-changing insights to the global aesthetic community.

For Alluna, this invitation is a powerful affirmation of our mission:
to blend medical precision with innovation, and to develop protocols specifically tailored to the unique needs of Asian skin.

The Light-to-Lift Protocol reflects years of clinical observation, refinement, and a patient-centred approach rooted in both dermatological science and aesthetic artistry.

What Is the Light-to-Lift Protocol?

The Light-to-Lift Protocol is an original dual-modality approach designed by Alluna Medical to treat melasma in Asian skin - one of the most challenging pigmentary conditions due to higher risks of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Our method strategically combines:

1. Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)

to target epidermal and dermal pigment gently and gradually.

2. Collagen Biostimulation with Injectable Poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA)

to rebuild dermal structure, improve skin quality, and reduce vascular and inflammatory triggers associated with melasma recurrence.

Used together in a carefully timed sequence, Light-to-Lift addresses both pigment production and the underlying skin environment - a synergistic approach that targets multiple layers of the skin, and has shown enhanced durability and stability of results in our patients.

Why This Matters for Asian Skin

Melasma remains one of the most demanding conditions to manage in Asian populations due to:

  • higher melanocyte reactivity

  • greater sensitivity to heat and light

  • increased risk of PIH

  • chronic and relapsing nature of pigmentation

The Light-to-Lift Protocol was designed specifically with these challenges in mind.

By combining controlled photothermal energy with dermal biostimulation, the protocol aims to:

  • reduce melanin production triggers

  • improve dermal support

  • enhance skin resilience

  • minimise recurrence

- offering a holistic, forward-thinking strategy for long-term melasma management.

Our Commitment to Evidence-Based Innovation

Presenting at AMWC China is more than an honor - it reflects our clinic’s ongoing commitment to:

  • contributing original ideas to the global aesthetic community

  • developing protocols grounded in science

  • elevating standards of care for Asian patients

  • representing Hong Kong on an international stage

To our patients: thank you for trusting us as we continue to advance both our practice and the wider field of aesthetic medicine.
